Birthday wishes in Hindi and English

Updated 27 September 2026

A birthday wish doesn't have to be long to feel special. It has to sound like you. We wrote these short wishes for the people we celebrate most. Each one is in Hindi (with how to say it) and in English, so you can use it as it is, or change a word or two and add a pet name.

Five tips for a wish that feels personal

  1. Start with their name or pet name. "Golu, happy birthday!" feels warmer than a wish that could be for anyone.
  2. Add one shared memory. A single line like "Remember the Goa trip?" makes people smile before they even finish reading.
  3. Keep lines short. On the live board, text longer than about 50 letters is split over several lines, so short sentences read best from across the room.
  4. Use one to three emoji. 🎂 🎉 ❤️ ✨ add colour; ten of them in a row make the message hard to read.
  5. Mix languages if that's how your family talks. Hinglish is perfectly fine, and it's often the most natural choice.
